The Foundation was started on 5th April 2013 by her family of their 'Beautiful Catherine' her Mother Jayne, Father Phil & Sister Leanne.

They wanted to raise funds to give small grants to other families and individuals who have lost a loved one through the hands of another due to murder or manslaughter as well as making a legacy in Catherine's name.

The reason why this foundation was started

The Catherine Wells-Burr Foundation was started because the family of Catherine were inspired by the care and support their received by Victim Support Homicide Services from Bristol and Avon and Somerset Police.

With their help at a devastating and difficult time was made a little easier during the beginning of the early days learning of Catherine's passing, making statements to the police, the sorting of financial documents, application for letters of administration and attending and being a witness at trial.

These special people are still with them to this day...

the logo

The logo was designed by Gill Arnold a very talented local tattoo artist from Chard.

The butterfly was chosen because Jayne's father collected butterflies and Catherine herself loved butterflies...

And also her favourite colour was Teal, she thought it brought out the colour in her eyes...

In the wings of the butterfly 'Caf' is written which she was fondly called by her family & friends.
